Just five and a half miles from The Grange lies Banham Zoo.
Voted one of the top 3 zoos in the UK by Which magazine, Banham will let you experience at close quarters some of the worlds most exotic, rare and endangered animals.
Set amongst 35 acres of beautiful Breckland countryside and landscaped gardens, you will discover over a thousand animals ranging from big cats to birds of prey and siamangs to Shire horses. Throughout the day there are plenty of feeding talks, displays and animal encounter sessions, soft play, Tarzan Towers adventure play area and much, much more.
The zoo also holds a car boot sale most Sundays.
The Bressingham Steam Museum, 8 miles away, is set in lovely landscaped gardens and offers a unique glimpse into the past.
It also houses a surprise. Much of the filming for "Dad's Army" took place locally, with many of the vehicles used in the show lent by the museum. Many of the buildings, such as Jone's Butchers have now been recreated in the "Dad's Army Experience"
If you like your transport a little faster, a 12 mile trip will get you to the famous Snetterton Circuit. There is 2 or 4 wheeled motor sport most weekends or, if you're feeling really adventurous, why not sign up for one of the track days held throughout the year.
The circuit is also home to one of the oldest and largest Sunday markets in the UK.

In the next village (Tibenham) are the headquarters of the Norfolk Gliding Club. As well as watching these majestic aircraft you can take a trial flight, or even book a weeks flying tution.
