Iām amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The Shears - Hada plebeja.
A macro moth species from the family of Noctuidae sub family Hadeninae.
Characteristic open scissors, or shears shape marking, on forewing.
The moth has a wingspan of 30-35 mm.
There is quite a variation in ground colour, generally the paler individuals occurring further south.
The moth as one generation from May to July.
The moth's habitat favours a wide variety of habitats.
The larvae feed nocturnally on Herbaceous plants
The moth is widespread and classified nationally as a Common species of the UK.
