Short-cloaked Moth - Nola cucullatella. A macro moth species from the family of Nolidae sub family Nolinae. A small but attractive and distinctive moth. The moth has a wingspan of 16-18 mm. The moth as one generation from June to July and is readily attracted to light. The moth's habitat favours woodland, suburban gardens, and similar bushy habitats. The small, hairy caterpillars feed on Blackthorn, Hawthorn, and Apple. The moth is classified nationally as a Common species of the UK.
