Hello, from Steve Garten and welcome to my weird and wonderful world of moths.

Iā€™m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The list of moths listed in this Micro-moths blog and the Macro Moths blog are the species I have recorded since 2015.

Yellow-triangle Slender - Caloptilia alchimiella

Yellow-triangle Slender - Caloptilia alchimiella A micro moth species from the family of Gracillariidae, subfamily Gracillariinaee. The moth has a wingspan of 10 to 13 mm. Caloptilia alchimiella was recently separated from Caloptilia robustella and the two species are very similar. The species' habitat is often associated with Oak. This moth is on the wing from May to August, and the moths can sometimes be attracted to light. This species is classified as common in the UK.
