With many modern caravans and motorhomes having high-powered electrical systems installed, such as water-heaters and underfloor heating, they can use a surprising amount of electricity, to the point where there have been extreme cases when the cost of electricity used has actually exceeded the pitch fee charged - much as we appreciate our guests, we simply cannot afford to pay them to stay with us. We have therefore had calibrated meters professionally installed on all of the EHU points.
We make a very reasonable allowance of 10 kWh per day, which should be enough for the needs of the majority of our guests. Consumption above this level will be charged at 39p per kWh paid for on the day of departure. Metered.
Due to popular demand, and thanks to some clever technology, we can now accept payment on site using most popular credit/debit cards.
If you are concerned about the security issues of using your credit card at the site or over the phone check out the post on credit cards payment in Steve’s Blog
