Common Marbled Carpet --- Dysstroma truncata.

The moth is from the family of Geometridae – subfamily----Larentiinae.

It Is medium-sized macro moth with a wingspan of 24 to 30 mm.

The moth as two generations and its flight season is from May to June and August to October.

The moth's habitat has a wide range of habitats including urban parks and gardens.

It overwinters as a larva.

The Larva appears from September to May and June to August.

It pupates on the foliage of the food plant.

The species feeds mainly on low growing woody species

The moth is classed as common and is widespread throughout the UK.
