Hello, from Steve Garten and welcome to my weird and wonderful world of moths.

I’m amateur Lepidopterist, I trap and record moth species on my six acre wildlife meadow at Tibenham Norfolk, UK.

The list of moths listed in this Macro-moths blog and the Micro Moths blog are the species I have recorded since 2015.

November Moth agg. - Epirrita dilutata agg.

November Moth agg. - Epirrita dilutata agg. Three of the members of the genus Epirrita, November Moth, E. dilutata, Autumnal Moth, E. autumnata, and Pale November Moth, E. chrystyi, can be very difficult to separate on markings alone, especially as some show marked melanism. The moth has a forewing of 15-20mm The moth as one generation from September to November. The moth's habitat favours a wide range of habitats. The moth is classified nationally as a common species of the UK.
